Dracula Series – Part 2: The Myth of the Vampire Review
When we last left Father Arno Morianai, he was visiting a professor in Budapest who had some seemingly crazy ideas about just what was happening in the small Transylvanian town of Vladoviste. Namely, that it has something to with vampires. Dracula Series - Part 2: The Myth of the Vampire continues the story that began in the first game, and is essentially the middle portion of Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon. This gives the game somewhat of a strange feeling, as it doesn't have a real solid beginning and end. If you play it right after Part 1 it makes sense, but it doesn't stand up on its own.
Mysteries of Magic Island Review
Hidden object games are a dime a dozen, so it's no surprise that now and then you'll run into one that "takes inspiration" from a popular movie or book in order to stand out from the crowd. After a recent, rather unpleasant run-in with vampires and angsty teenage girls I greeted the opportunity to attend a Great Magic School with a cringe. Was I now to be subjected to a half-baked, paper-thin "Harry Potter" rip-off as well? Fortunately, I was not; Mysteries of Magic Island isn't great but it's pretty good, and there's no connection to Mr. Potter and the gang anywhere to be found.
Reckless Squad Review
Reckless Squad is a prime example of a sheep in wolf's clothing. On the outside, it's messily put together, with an amateur-looking interface and terribly translated dialogue. Yet look beyond all that, and there's some very clever real-time strategy gaming afoot. It's most likely not enough that you'll overlook the awful visuals, mind, but it definitely leaves you wishing that someone would build on the concept.
Mystery Trackers: The Void Review

Dracula Series – Part 1: The Strange Case of Martha Review
Don't be alarmed if you're getting a sense of deja vu. If the first part in the Dracula Series looks familiar, that's because it is. The new trilogy is essentially Dracula 3: Path of the Dragon divided into three parts. But in addition to being cut down into smaller chunks, the game has also been slightly tweaked to be more approachable for casual gamers. But since the initial portion of Path of the Dragon is easily the worst part of the game, the first part of Dracula Series isn't exactly going to have players clamoring for part two.
The Institute – A Becky Brogan Adventure Review
University student Becky Brogan is investigating a decades-old unsolved case about a doctor and nurse who went missing from a mental facility. The doctor was less than ethical, the nurse downright cruel, and the patients had more issues than a news stand - exactly the kind of characters you need for a really juicy tale. Too bad you'll probably give up on The Institute - A Becky Brogan Adventure before you find out what really happened to them all.
