Dreamsdwell Stories 2: Undiscovered Islands Review
The longtime gamer in me feels like I know what to expect from certain genres of games. If I'm told something is a first person shooter, or strategy or puzzle game, I can usually get pretty darn close to the conventions the designers used when building their game. The same goes for match-3 games - I've played and loved enough to have some assumptions about what I'll find. Dreamsdwell Stories 2 - Undiscovered Islands actually threw a curveball my way that was more than welcome!greenTech+ Review
By Mike Rose
If solving the Earth's pollution problems is as difficult as greenTech+ makes out, then we're all doomed. Through a combination of hurricanes and cleansing factories, nasty clouds of ozone-destroying gas must be removed from the air, keeping the atmosphere nice and breathable.Lylian: Episode One – Paranoid Friendship Review
By Mike Rose
It's sometimes difficult to care for a video game protagonist, thanks to a lifeless personality or some really terrible dialogue. Lylian: Episode One is different, however - throughout play we found her character troublesome to bond with, not due to a sketchy script, but rather because she's completely and utterly insane in the membrane.Soap Opera Dash Review
By David Becker
I have to confess that soap operas are not exactly my cup of tea. However I admit that it is quite fascinating to imagine what must be going on behind the scenes. And this is exactly the kind of experience Soap Opera Dash, the newest release by Playfirst, tries to provide. While the game's theme is charming and a nice variation for the dash franchise, there are some shortcomings that prevent it from being a top-notch experience.Heavy Hogur Review
By Mike Rose
Calling someone "heavy" would usually be quite an insult, but Heavy Hogur doesn't seem to mind too much - especially considering his knack for finding treasure galore. Unfortunately his weight does cause rather a problem, as levels crumble beneath him as he moves.Pengu Wars Review
By Erin Bell
If Rovio is indeed planning to release their iPhone smash hit Angry Birds onto the PC/Mac like the rumor mill has been whispering, they'd better hurry up because the desktop clones are already coming out of the woodwork. Case in point: Pengu Wars, aka Angry Penguins.Lilly & Sasha: Nexus of Souls Review
By Chad Sapieha
Be warned: If you have yet to play John Wizard's previous role-playing game, Lilly & Sasha: Curse of the Immortals, you'd do well to work your way through it before tackling Lilly & Sasha: Nexus of Souls. This sequel picks up right where its predecessor left off, and despite a quick recap of key scenes from the previous game, its story and characters are so intertwined with those of its forerunner that players who didn't play Curse of the Immortals will be left scratching their heads some of the time.Roads of Rome 2 Review
By David Becker
If you already have built the roads of Rome, what can be done to exceed this already impressive achievement? Roads of Rome 2 provides the simple answer - you have to build roads to the Gods. Again the player follows the Roman general Victorius, who is enjoying married life with Caesar's daughter, but when Caesar gets poisoned unexpectedly, the Gods are Victorius' and Julia's last hope to save Caesar's life. While we had some complaints about the predecessor, this latest installment offers a more varied and altogether pleasant experience.
