FBI Agent Claire Ellery never gets a break. The intrepid star of the Strange Cases series is always on the hunt and in Strange Cases: The Secrets of Grey Mist Lake, even her vacation turns into an investigation. I've sincerely lost track as to how many match-3 games I've played over the years. It's seriously a ton. In the lead-up to playing through7 Wonders: Magical Mystery Tour,my editor told me she had another match-3 game for me if I wasn't sick of them yet. Honestly, I should be - but I'm actually quite the opposite. Sure, it's a well-tread genre, but when match-3 games are done well they can be super compelling. Magical Mystery Tour is one of those games.

With the Campfire Legends trilogy, we've unfortunately seen the quality drop with each installment. While this third (and apparently final) entry in the series retains the same solid voice acting and graphics, the gameplay has become too difficult or tiresome to hold up to the standard of the previous games - specifically, the first.
Costume Questis a fairly traditional action RPG freshened up almost entirely by its concept. InCostume Quest, you play one of two twins who go out trick-or-treating one Halloween night. Once out, they encounter a race of candy-stealing goblins commanded by an evil witch, one of whom mistakes one of the twins' for a giant piece of candy thanks to a candy corn costume. The other twin (the one you control) vows to rescue the missing sibling by amassing a vast collection of Halloween costumes and teaming up with other kids.
When done right, genre mash-ups can create some incredible games. Just take a look at Puzzle Quest or Quarrel. Tiny Token Empires, a new mash-up from developer BiP media, joins their ranks with ease. It's like someone took Puzzle Quest, Risk, and Civilization, put them in a blender, and set it to awesome.
