If you've never played the first Trine, that's ok - you can dive right into its sequel without much of a problem. That's because Trine 2 shines in its own right as a physics-based side scrolling puzzler with some brisk and easy fighting along the way. You can play alone or with up to two friends online to battle and puzzle your way through the fantastic environments. If you have played Trine, however, I can save you a bunch of time right off the bat: Did you like it? Welll, Trine 2 is more of the stuff you love, and it's just as awesome as the first time around.
It's a situation we've all thought about at one point. What would it be like to be trapped on a deserted island? The strangely titled Lagoonia lets you experience this firsthand as the lone survivor of a plane crash. Using the resources on hand you'll have to eek out a life, while exploring the island to learn that there may be a bit more there than just trees and sand. The quality of gameplay doesn't quite match the quality of the concept, but Lagoonia still provides a largely enjoyable experience for those who've wondered what it would be like to be a character on Lost. Without the smoke monsters, of course.
Fear for Sale: Sunnyvale Story presents an unusual twist on the tired haunted house storyline. Instead of a house that is haunted, we have a house that is haunting an entire town. The house, which was destroyed years ago, appears out of nowhere and lures the citizens of Sunnyvale inside, where they disappear.
Any game with the word "farm" in the title is one that certainly has an uphill battle to fight, but Farm Kingdom does a fairly decent of setting itself apart. Your typical farming simulation game, it contains many of the nuances of the genre but builds on them with more involved mechanics, crafting, and a generally more expansive virtual space from which to work within.

Ready to have one of those "Wow, I'm old" moments? "Jurassic Park" the movie came out 18 years ago. To put that in perspective, babies who were born the year that "Jurassic Park" came out can now vote. So, even though it might seem like odd timing to bring out Jurassic Park: The Gamenow, we were still super excited when Telltale Games (ofMonkey Island and Sam & Max fame) said they were making one. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite live up to expectations.
It is the Middle Ages, people are starving, and previously glorious cities and villages lie in ruins. That is the simple but endearing premise of Be A King: Golden Empire, the newest part of a series by developer Rake In Grass. This series is definitely improving, but still misses the mark in a few respects.
