Fabled Legends: The Dark Piper Review
Blue Tea Games is known for making strong hidden object adventures, and that's what makes Fabled Legends: The Dark Piper so disappointing. From its ho-hum story concept to its shop-worn gameplay, The Dark Piper marches staidly along, offering little in the way of wonder, mystery, innovation or suspense. With little for veteran gamers to latch onto, The Dark Piper becomes an exercise in mediocrity meant for either the utterly inexperienced or the painfully undiscerning.Punch Hero Review
By Nadia Oxford
Ah, boxing. The grunts of modern gladiators, the smack of blood hitting the canvas, the crunch of breaking cartilage—will not be found in Punch Hero for iOS. Gamevil's boxing title doesn't offer a very serious take on the sport, but it also doesn't wallow in the goofy, simple fun that was achieved by Nintendo's Punch-Out!! a full 28 years ago. The constant hocking of in-app purchases doesn't exactly lend the game a sporting atmosphere, either.Acme Planetary Defense Review
By Andy Chalk
Most of us, when we hear the word "acme," skip the dictionary definition and make a mental beeline straight for the misadventures of Wile E. Coyote. At first glance, the connection between the mischievous character and Acme Planetary Defense - the new shooter from Taptoon Games - is tenuous at best, consisting only of the fact that your upgrades and resources are delivered in iconic crates. A little hands on time with the colorful, chaotic shooter however, reveals a game that would do the Looney Toons proud.Juggernaut: Revenge of Sovering Review
One of the biggest problems facing RPGs is the stagnation of turn-based combat. While it's not something that ruins every game, it's hard to deny that constantly clicking through a menu with limited interaction is very engaging. Juggernaut: Revenge of Sovereign breaks through this mold with an overhand swing by creating a touch-based combat system that's fun and surprisingly deep. Did I mention that it has great visuals and is free to play?LostWinds2: Winter of the Melodias Review
By Eli Cymet
Remember the good old days, when you were a kid? Roaming the world around you carefree, harnessing the power of elements to destroy an ancient evil and save the ones you loved? Not so much? If your childhood was more of the bike-riding, knee-scraping variety, don't worry. LostWinds 2: Winter of the Melodias has you covered.Penny Time Review
By David Oxford
Advergaming is nothing new; throughout the years, there have been video games based on products ranging from Kool-Aid and Purina Dog Chow to 7UP and McDonald's, and more recently, iPhone games based on such things as Lipton Brisk Iced Tea. Now joining these ranks is Penny Time, a game produced by and made to promote Penny Skateboards, a product of Australia. Refreshingly, however, Penny Time fails to do what most of these others excel at... waste your time.AbraWORDabrA Review
By Jim Squires
Word games are a dime a dozen on mobile devices nowadays, so it takes something truly unique to stand out. AbraWORDabrA manages to fit that description nicely, but its unique approach to word games fails to satisfy in even the most basic of ways.Casino by Zeniz Review
By Nick Tylwalk
Plenty of allegedly social casino games are out on the market that don't have a firm grasp on the social part. The United States Playing Card Company and developer digi117 hope to avoid that particular pitfall with Casino by Zeniz, a new mobile gaming platform that emphasizes the interactive features of its versions of popular casino games.
