Nihilumbra Review
Like any piece of art, a glimmer of truth can mean more to a game than slick presentation. Have you ever stopped to listen to a street musician strumming away on his guitar? He may not be a master of the instrument, but, occasionally, that street musician will play a song that moves you as much or more than any band you see at a big venue. The musician may be a little rough around the edges, but the song they play resonates with you. In a roundabout way, this describes how I feel about Nihilumbra. It's not a "sleek" game, but it says something, and it says it well.Traffic Panic London Review
By AJ Dellinger
Ever had that feeling while stuck in traffic that if you could just control the lights, you could clear up the jam in no time? Ever follow up that feeling by wishing you could also blow up all the cars that don't take your direction? Save the money that therapy sessions will cost you--just download Traffic Panic London instead. The latest offering in the hit series by Neon Play takes you across the pond, but keeps the same appeal as the original offering.Summoner Wars Review
When one of your favorite card or board games comes to the digital platform, what are the necessities? A faithful port, a decent layout, and multiplayer support are a few that come to mind. But for a game phonetic looking for an experience that could even potentially surpass their physical counterpart? Beautiful visuals, depth of multiplayer options, and a significant decrease in price are all dealmakers. In this vein, Summoner Wars for iOS delivers in every possible way.Captain Antarctica Review
By Dant Rambo
Captain Antarctica is not your average hero. In fact, I'm not entirely sure what he's a captain of. Regardless, he's a penguin on a mission. His friends have been kidnapped and, jetpack in tow, he must set out and rescue them one by one.Legends of Solitaire: The Lost Cards Review
Of late, there's been a resurgence of solitaire-based games, both in the casual and social game arenas and through it, some interesting variants of the classic card game have emerged. With Legends of Solitaire: The Lost Cards, developer The Revills Games obviously hoped to add to the growing list of cool new solitaire titles. Sadly, the company's slap-dash adventure/solitaire game just isn't that much fun.The Sushi Spinnery Review
By Eli Cymet
Have you ever finished a great meal at a nice restaurant and thought, "you know, there's nothing more I'd like to do right now than a joint like this?" Me neither. And yet Kairosoft has the audacity to bring us The Sushi Spinnery... a game that has us slaving away in the role of the world's next great sushi master. Am I just bitter because this thing has me addicted!? Maybe.Blind Man’s Dungeon Review
Imagine it's 1982. You walk into an arcade and there are dozens of stand-up machines blinking away in the dim light. You have a pocketful of quarters and an afternoon to kill. Among these machines you see a game called Blind Man's Dungeon. The demo blinks away in front of you: a pixelated adventurer traverses the screen in wide circles, collecting treasure and vanquishing foes while a little fairy builds walls. "Interesting," you think, and pop in a quarter.Arizona Rose and the Pirates’ Riddles Review
By Eli Cymet
When I booted up Arizona Rose and the Pirates' Riddles, I wasn't expecting a lot. And I say that in the nicest way possible. Buoyed up by the introduction's lilting, seaworthy tunes and kitschy story (you're the "world's best treasure hunter!"), I was willing to give myself over to some hunting, finding, and light puzzling inside an over-the-top story that served as a break from the genre's moody tendencies. So when I say this game under delivers on even those expectations, you'll have an idea of what you're in for.
