Beast Boxing Turbo Review
By Mike Rose
Zeno Clash taught us a few years ago that punching animal-human hybrids in the face is a lot of fun. Beast Boxing Turbo now takes the concept into the ring, Punch-Out style, as a human looks to become boxing champion of the beasts. The Walking Dead: Episode 5 – No Time Left Review
I have been along for the ride of The Walking Dead since Episode 1: A New Day. I liked it, but I didn't love it. It showed promise. By the end of Episode 2: Starved For Help, I was completely on board. It was at the end of Episode 3: Long Road Ahead where I first uttered the phrase "potential game of the year." The penultimate Episode 4: Around Every Corner wasn't as high a watermark, but it set up a compelling and harrowing finale. Does the newest and final episode of the season, No Time Left, possibly payoff?Reign of Dragons Review
By Rob Rich
Reign of Dragons has all the trappings of a fantastic and engrossing iOS collectible card game: It features some wonderful artwork, a massive pool of cards to gather, enhancement and evolution to make your favorite cards more powerful and to similarly unload the worthless ones. It has quests. It has PvP. It's practically the next Rage of Bahamut. Which might have something to do with the fact that it is Rage of Bahamut.Lost Secrets: November 1963 Review
By Emma Boyes
They say that you always remember where you were and what you were doing when important events like the Kennedy assassination take place. Unless you weren't born then, in which case remembering anything at all about that day is probably unlikely.Kings Can Fly Review
Kings Can Fly is an infinitely charming and deviously clever puzzle entry from Firedroid. In this Steampunk-inspired pathfinder, a bored and aging king is suddenly snapped out of his ennui when his chief Captian suprises him with a plan to explore the Sky Kingdom via a caravan of zeppelins. Of course, this is easier said than done, and it's ultimately up to the player to strategically place fans of various types along a path filled with calamity in order to push the airborne caravan exactly where it needs to go. It's a simple concept that's very well executed, and it's a whole lot of fun.Mr .M’s Code of Murder: The Byzantine Assassin Review
By Matt Thrower
In a dark and baroque castle, a curious assembly of people have gathered together. How such diverse characters as a Duke, an Augur, a Scholar and someone's pet cat have come together in this sinister place is never revealed. All we know is that amongst them is a deadly assassin who means, for equally obscure reasons, to murder five victims and then escape into the night before he or she is unmasked.Bloons TD 5 Review
By Leif Johnson
At this point, you could be forgiven for thinking that the tower defense genre ran its course years ago. The glory days of Fieldrunners and its ilk waned as promising new contenders entered the casual arena, and almost every new entry seems but a variation on the same tired theme. That's why it's so surprising to see Bloons TD 5 rocket so far up to the top tiers of the App Store. Much like its predecessor, it doesn't bring much innovation to the genre, but it makes up for this considerable shortcoming through sheer variety and a fun aesthetic.Rage of the Gladiator Review
By Nick Tylwalk
It's been a while since I've seen the movie Gladiator, so it's possible I missed the part where Maximus was able to defeat his foes by memorizing the way they moved in patterns like Punch Out!!. Yet it must have happened, because that's exactly what Gracius, the hero of Rage of the Gladiator, faces in his battle to transition from WiiWare hero to iOS conqueror. To his credit, he handles it pretty well.
