Zenonia 5 Review
I'm the type of guy that brings a gun to a knife fight, so when I first switched on Gamevil's new action/RPG Zenonia 5, I was instantly drawn to the character of Evan - the game's steam-punk gunslinger. I envisioned myself a pistol-packing Indiana Jones in a world of scimitar-swinging swordsmen, blasting baddies back to the Stone Age with a single shot. Instead I was quickly mauled to death by a gang of fuzzy little critters.Phantasmat: Crucible Peak Review
The world "crucible" has two meanings: it refers either to a container used for heating metal to extreme temperatures, or to a severe physical or mental trial. Through its harrowing circumstance and elaborate setting, ERS Studios' newest hidden object game Phantasmat: Crucible Peak offers us an unsettlingly supernatural adventure that embraces both these meanings.Party Place Review
By John Anthony
The social gaming connoisseurs at Zynga have decided we need more drama in our lives, and Party Place provides just the atmosphere to achieve it! You have the task of throwing party after wild party, stirring up trouble with your friends in the name of earning cash to make your apartment even swankier. Who needs a BFF when you've got a foosball table, right?Fairy Tale Mysteries: The Puppet Thief Review
By Emma Boyes
In a dark, twisted take on the story of the Pied Piper, Fairy Tale Mysteries: The Puppet Thief sees a shadowy, evil figure abducting children from a peaceful town called Arbourshire. Children have been vanishing from the town for decades, with the first abduction being reported a hundred years ago.The Walking Dead: Assault Review
By Nick Tylwalk
The Walking Dead already had a critically acclaimed game come out during 2012. But like the walkers themselves, a property this popular is just going to keep coming. That's why Gamagio and Skybound have joined forces to create The Walking Dead: Assault, a top-down strategy game that puts you in control of Rick and the gang in tense battles that look like they were ripped right out of the comic book and planted on your iOS device.Kingdom Builder Review
By Matt Thrower
Donald X Vaccarino is one of the most feted designers on the current scene, thanks to the highly creative offering of Dominion, his first game. He's continued delivering on that initial promise, with one of his recent offerings Kingdom Builder winning the coveted Spiel des Jarhes award in 2012. Now the game has made the transition onto iOS.Letter by Letter Review
By Nadia Oxford
Words can hurt. Words can kill. Okay, so words can't actively slit someone's throat, but a well-placed move in Letter by Letter for iOS proves words are capable of giving your rivals a bad day. Let's just settle by pointing out that words can sting like a paper-cut between your fingers. In fact, with Letter by Letter, your words may actually come back and haunt you.The Book of Unwritten Tales: The Critter Chronicles Review
By John Anthony
A prequel to The Book of Unwritten Tales, The Critter Chronicles takes us back in time a bit to explore the origins of the furry Critter we all love, as well as telling the tale of wannabe captain Nate and his perfectly legitimately acquired airship. It's old school adventure gaming to the core, complete with smart writing, hilarious dialogue, and more inventory puzzles than you can attach two sticks together and shake at!
