Idol Words is a social word game that plays like an asynchronous version of Boggle. Ninja Village Review
The ninjas of Ninja Village aren't exactly what you'd expect of deadly assassins. In keeping with Kairosoft tradition, they're tiny, pixellated and actually kind of cute, and they spend most of their time bringing in crops, cutting wood and hanging out at the local tea house. They don't dress in black pajamas and hoods, although you can buy and equip them with hoods if you like, and they won't be scaling castle walls or disappearing in clouds of magical smoke. Mostly, they're just people living their lives in a small village.
Deep Sea Deli Review
Narwhals are the Jedi of the sea, and they're also pretty darn good at making sandwiches. Deep Sea Deli by PlayFirst is an iOS puzzle game that shows off the aquatic species' lesser-known talent at assembling bacon, ham, and bread into something magically delicious. Like a solid BLT, Deep Sea Deli seems unimpressive at first taste, but after you take a couple of mouthfuls, you begin to enjoy how nicely all the ingredients come together.
FREEQ Review
I was pretty intrigued by the concept of FREEQ when I first had a chance to preview the audio adventure game for Gamezebo last week, and I loved the emphasis that Psychic Bunny put on the mysteriousness of those old radio detective shows from the early twentieth century. But how does the ambitious radio frequency storytelling hold up now that I've had a chance to listen in on the future for myself?
Bird Mania Review
When Bird Mania was first released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop almost a year ago today, it received mix reviews from fans and critics alike. While some applauded the sharp visuals and fast gameplay, others criticized the severe lack of things to do in the game. Unfortunately, not much seems to have changed in this iOS port. At its core, Bird Mania is a simple endless runner game, but one that shows us that sometimes simple isn't always necessarily better.
Fitness Bustle: Energy Boost Review
While games in the time management genre obviously challenge you to manage your time, there are also sub-genres within this space for players that want to focus on either strategy or speed. Strategy games may see you balancing the use of resources and workers, but Fitness Bustle: Energy Boost falls into the other category, as this is one game focused solely on speed.
MANUGANU Review
TV Tropes defines Master Higgins Syndrome (named after the protagonist of the Adventure Island series) as an in-game compulsion to consume or die. I define it as an overwhelming urge to play Alper Sarikaya's addictive island themed runner, Manuganu. Of course, I wouldn't have died if I hadn't, but life's a bit nicer now that I have.
