Dress like an Angry Bird this Halloween
By Jim Squires
I was in a Wal-Mart the other day looking for some stationary. And sitting there, amongst all of the day planners, paper, and pens, was a huge display for Angry Birds. In this instance they were selling 3D posters and stickers, but if you meandered into another part of the store you'd no doubt find t-shirts, plush toys, cell phone cases... the Angry Birds marketing giant is officially in full swing. And so it should come as no surprise that this Halloween, you might just see a little red bird or green pig ring your doorbell looking for candy.Hanging With Friends comes to Android, goes cross-platform

Zynga might be a powerhouse on Facebook and a rising star on the iPhone, but the big Z hasn't made much of an impact on Android yet. Then again, it's not like they've been trying. Until today, the only games they had in the Android Market were Words With Friends, Zynga Poker, and Drop7. That trio, though, has just turned into a quartet - all thanks to the Android launch of Hanging With Friends.Gamezebo Tip: Rate, Review or Like Games

You can also click "Like" to share on Facebook that you like the game.Aeria Games expands into mobile, reaches 23 million users worldwide

By Jim Squires
Augmented-reality games are a funny thing. Sometimes they're as simple as using the camera on your phone to shoot at UFO's in your living room. Other times they're location-based games that have you fighting for real turf with virtual magic. ZOMBIES, RUN!, however, asks you to do the one thing we'll all have to do when the inevitable zombie apocalypse comes, and you can probably guess what that is just from the title.Angry Birds has the numbers, but Plants vs. Zombies has a Hip Hop Video
By Joel Brodie
There is no question that the phenomenon that is Angry Birds is backed by impressive numbers. The game has been downloaded over 350 million times and Rovio sells an average of 1 million t-shirts and plush toys, respectively (Techcrunch). An amusement park in China has created a real-life Angry Birds game. And in an entertaining piece in The Atlantic, senior editor Alexis Madrigal proved he does not have an economic bone in his body by estimating that Angry Birds costs the US economy $1.5 billion a year based on what may possibly be the worse analysis I have ever read in my life. One would think PopCap's Plants vs. Zombies should have Angry Birds-envy, if not for the fact that Plants vs. Zombies now has its very own hip hop video.Ex-Electronic Arts, Zynga veterans form freemium mobile company Rumble
Free-to-play mobile games are quickly rising in prominence, and a new start-up called Rumble, founded by former employees at companies like Electronic Arts, BioWare, and Zynga, is looking to get in on the action.Game that depicts the horrors of smartphone production removed from the App Store by Apple

MolleIndustria are no strangers to controversy. The developer, who many indie game fans know from their sublime web game Every day the Same Dream, once courted a fair bit of notoriety for a controversial game about McDonald's less-than-stellar business practices. Now it looks like they're back in the hot seat over a new game called Phone Story, a title the developers call "an educational game about the social costs of electronic gadgets."
