Cut the Rope animated short makes its debut
As I write this, it's a Friday afternoon. But I can't help but feel like it's Saturday morning. Why? Because today seems to be all about cartoons! First Zynga debuted A Very FarmVille Christmas. Then I received a very friendly reminder that the Where's My Water cartoon will be debuting online in early 2012, And NOW, ZeptoLab has just unleashed the first animated short featuring lovable little Om Nom from Cut the Rope.

Pocket Legends and Star Legends launch on Google’s Chrome web store
Google's Chrome web store is becoming an increasingly prominent game platform, and now Spacetime Studios, the developer behind mobile online role playing games Pocket Legends and Star Legends, has announced that both games are now playable through Google's browser.
OnLive goes mobile
OnLive's been picking up a lot of steam this year, thanks in large part to a fairly substantial marketing campaign and promotions like giving out free consoles at the Penny Arcade Expo. That said, the service has just come to Android (and is coming to iOS soon, pending certification), meaning that mobile gamers will be able to play the latest big-name video games on the go.

Fruit Ninja sequel in the works, not what you’re expecting
All right, everyone. I need you to sit down for a moment. I've got big news: There's going to be a sequel to Fruit Ninja. Well, OK, that's not actually the crazy part of this story. The crazy part is that the newly formed Halfbrick team in Sydney will be developing the game, and it sounds like it will be radically different than anything the series has seen before.
Android Market reaches 10 Billion downloads, offers 10 cent apps
Google's Android Market has managed to take the internet by storm over the past couple of years. By July 2010, a billion apps had been downloaded. Since then, things have been growing exponentially: 3 billion apps had been downloaded by March 2011, 6 billion by this July, and now the number is up to 10 billion. Google thinks it's time to celebrate, and we don't blame them in the least.
Alec Baldwin kicked off plane because of Words with Friends
If you're Zynga, you can't really buy better press than this. Former Jack Ryan, current Jack Donaghy, and all around jack... guy Alec Baldwin likes Words With Friends--a lot. So much so that he was ejected from an American Airlines flight Tuesday afternoon because of his love for the game, or so his spokesperson Matthew Hiltzik told CNN.
