Journey: The Heart of Gaia Review
By John Anthony
A stranger arrives at the museum one evening, but he's not there to look at artifacts. Before Liz can react, the man kidnaps her and escapes into the night. The kidnapping doesn't go according to plan, though, and Liz soon finds herself trapped in a mysterious world filled with colorful plants and unusual creatures. So begins the strange but extremely enjoyable steampunk fantasy adventure Journey: The Heart of Gaia.Word Bird Review
By Matt Thrower
It's not really surprising that writers should have a secret passion for word games. It's perhaps more unusual that word puzzles enjoy the immense across-the-board popularity that they do. But people like them, and mobile devices are a natural platform for them, so it's a very crowded marketplace. That hasn't deterred developer Funkitron from trying to muscle its way in with the new app Word Bird.FLY’N Review
By Mike Rose
When Steam Greenlight launched a few months ago, it gave PC gamers the chance to pick and choose those titles which looked particularly gorgeous and meaty. Since then, a barrage of titles have been approved for launch on Steam through the initiative, and games that we may not have spotted otherwise are slipping into the limelight.Grub Guardian Review
By Nick Tylwalk
Sure, Wizard101 is fun, and the pets your wizard collects can be helpful. But sometimes, you just want those little guys to stop following you around and do something even more useful - like guard dinner. Sounds strange, but it's more or less the gist of Grub Guardian, a tower defense game that can be played in web browsers and iOS devices as a standalone game or a supplement to KingsIsle's popular all ages MMORPG.Weird Park: Scary Tales Review
By John Anthony
It's time for another dose of psychotic circus performers! Weird Park: Scary Tales is a sequel to Weird Park: Broken Tune, continuing the tradition of crazy locations and straightforward hidden object gameplay. After crashing your car outside of an abandoned town, you learn that mad Louis the Clown has trapped several children inside twisted versions of classic fairy tales. And you know what? The only person who can rescue them is you!Chaos on Deponia Review
When we last left our hero, Rufus, he was attempting to flee the trash-ridden planet in pursuit of his newly met dream girl, Goal. Without spoiling Deponia, things were moderately wrapped up, and Rufus seemed to be leaving the conclusion in the hands of fate. Seemed to be. When Chaos on Deponia, begins, Rufus is back in action and rocketing himself toward the upper land, and Goal's home, Elysium, but things take an unsurprising turn for the worse.Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten Review
By Andy Chalk
Defender's Quest opens on a rather bleak note. After falling victim to a ravenous plague, you're tossed into the Great Pit even before you've drawn your last breath, but you somehow recover and discover within yourself the ability to travel to the world between life and death. Unfortunately, that brings you into contact with the zombie-like Revenants, who prey on the living and cannot be stopped from within the mortal realm.Dominion Review
By Matt Thrower
Dominion is one of the cleverest, most innovative and genre-defining card games of the last decade, but it's also one of the driest. The continual card-sorting and shuffling was annoying, and with virtually no interaction, I felt no great draw to play it with other people. Computer implementations, however, are another story; and HTML5 gaming suite Goko is offering the game for free, with the added convenience of playing in your browser.
