Best Multiplayer Games of 2012
By Dant Rambo
It seems like every single week a new high-profile multiplayer game comes out, begging us all to abandon whichever one we're addicted to and give it a chance. It's difficult keeping up with all of them, but somehow we've managed to pull it off. It's almost like we're a website dedicated to video games or something.Free Games and Sales: Fallout, Super Hexagon and more!

Toot-toot! All aboard the weekend savings train! I'm your conductor, Mr. Hates-to-pay-full-price-for-games. It's a long name, but hey - it's accurate.Valve acquires studio comprised of former PopCap employees
By Dant Rambo
Star Filled Studios, a start-up founded by former PopCap developers Tod Semple and Jeff Gates, has been acquired by Valve. Although Valve co-founder and managing director Gabe Newell stated the studio will be turned into a subsidiary, no details were provided about what exactly they'll be doing.5 Reasons Hidden Object Games Are So Cluttered
We've all wondered it at some point, whether it was the first time you saw a graveyard posing as a junkyard, after finding your hundredth kitchen utensil, or upon discovering a chainsaw in a bedroom: why are Hidden Object games so messy? Besides the obvious response of, "That's the whole point," I think we deserve to know the real reason. Which is definitely one or all of the following five.Kickstarter Picks – Galactic Keep: Dice Battles
By Jim Squires
I hate the term vaporware. I know that it exists, and I know that some games really become it - but just because a game takes a ridiculous amount of time to develop doesn't mean that it's not coming. Take Galactic Keep: Dice Battles. This is a game that's been on my radar since 2009. Most people would think I was crazy to expect it to still happen after all this time - but with your help, it may actually cross the finish line sooner than later.Best Adventure Games of 2012
By Dant Rambo
Adventure games have a very special place in my heart. The Secret of Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle were two of the first games I had ever played (the former being the first I ever grew totally obsessed with), and I still feel a twinkle of nostalgia every time I fire up a new entry in the genre. So, I'm sure you can imagine how excited I am to share what we at Gamezebo consider to be the best adventure games the year had to offer.Kickstarter Picks: The Last Door
By Dant Rambo
A horror game that's actually scary is a beautiful thing. More often than not it requires every component—eerie music, unpredictable events, solid writing etc.— working in tandem to cultivate the desired creepy atmosphere. But as we've learned over the years, realistic graphics are far from a necessity. Just take a look at Nanashi no Game and Home: both feature simple pixel art and are still incredibly frightening. The Last Door, a point-and-click adventure game playable via browser, is looking to follow this same humble path, offering up as many scares as it does pixels.Best Match 3 Games of 2012
By Jim Squires
They say two's company, but three's a crowd. I suppose that if you're talking about match-3, there's some truth to that statement. After all, what genre is more crowded than that? For every AAA title out there, there are dozens upon dozens of match-3 games. They're like locusts. Fun, color-matching, gem-swapping locusts.
