Telltale unveils The Walking Dead: 400 Days
Telltale Games has officially unveiled The Walking Dead: 400 Days, a brand new installment in their critically acclaimed horror-themed point-and-click adventure series. The game was first mentioned during Sony's big press conference at E3 last night, as part of a new The Walking Dead game bundle for PlayStation Vita, and soon after Telltale followed up with their own confirmation of the game via Twitter.
Xbox One E3 press conference failed to show a commitment to indies
Among the many questions gamers had going into today's Microsoft XBox press conference was how the new console's relationship with indie games would change. Because while the 360 was a haven for indie games through Xbox Live Arcade and the Xbox Indie Games program, it certainly appeared that the Xbox One might be moving away from indies in "It's not you, it's me" fashion.
PopCap announces Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
In what has quickly become one of my favorite surprises at this year's E3 so far, Electronic Arts opened up their big press conference today by officially announcing Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for Xbox One, and eventually Xbox 360. Garden Warfare has been a long-rumored name for the upcoming Plants vs. Zombies sequel after numerous web domains were registered for the title last year, but now we have the official confirmation that this is in fact a whole separate beast, and a mighty pretty beast at that!
Peggle 2 announced at E3
E3 is a magical week full of magical announcements, and few games are as magical as Peggle. And so, with a "blink and you'll miss it" announce during EA's press conference, PopCap Games' founder John Vechey confirmed that we'll have a full sequel to Peggle before the end of the year.

I've played through Final Fantasy VII at least ten times since its release in 1997. Unfortunately, no matter how much you love making the journey beyond Midgar, the trip gets harder every year. The clunky controls, abstract graphics, and "active" time battles have not held up over the years, leaving fans with a nostalgic fondness for a game they can no longer enjoy. The creators of The Black Tower share that nostalgia, but acknowledge it's 2013 with their "neo-retro" homage to one of Square's finest, and PS1 RPGs in general.
