Free Games and Sales: Fez, Rush Bros and more!
By Joe Jasko
When I was a little kid with two pockets stuffed to the brim with candy, there was nothing I loved more than when some of my favorite candy products like Starbursts or Jelly Belly Jellybeans issued out a promotional mystery flavor. True, you'd be buying something that could very well turn out to be gross or not something that you would have paid money for knowing what it was beforehand, but what's life without a little mystery every once in a while?I tell you this seemingly random tale about mysteries and jellybeans because we actually have such a dash of tantalizing mystery in this week's free games and sales list as well! In fact, one particular bundle is offering a bonus "mystery game" for everyone who picks up the collection, and who knows what it could possibly be! But for those of you who like knowing exactly what you're in for before making an extremely discounted purchase, then fear not, because we also have plenty of other great gaming deals outlined for you below in full detail (and even including a very special one from us here at Gamezebo)!Crafting a Substantial Sequel – Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren’s Call [interview]
By John Anthony
One of the more stunning hidden object adventures of the year, Nightmares from the Deep: The Siren's Call, had some big shoes to fill. The previous game in the series did everything right, providing plenty of challenge with great graphics and puzzles worth scratching your head over. How could a team possibly follow something like that? We sat down with the Artifex Mundi crew behind The Siren's Call and asked them just that! With the first game in the series having jusy launched its Steam Greenlight campaign (be sure to give it a vote!), series producer Krzysztof Szaton spoke with Gamezebo about everything that went into making its sequel a success. The Freebie Gamer Bundle is now available

By Jim Squires
Remember mobile games in the 90's? Or more aptly, mobile "game"? Snake wasn't just the best choice for gamers at the dawn of the cell phone age - for many of us, it was the only choice. And like the devices it was most popular on, Snake was fairly limited in terms of what it could do.But that was then, and this is now. And Snake? It's grown up quite a bit. We've seen plenty of takes on the classic formula (Nimble Quest, Snakes and Apples) but nobody has seen fit to turn Snake into a fully-fledged multiplayer battle experience until now. On-5, the folks behind past multiplayer gems like the pre-Draw Something classic Charadium and the recent exercise in co-operation Indie Pixel, are looking to remedy that with SQUAKE.While there will be plenty of modes coming when the game launches in beta this December (that's the target, at least), you can check out the first by downloading the alpha right now. Just be sure to find someone to play it with, and if you like it, give it a thumbs up on Steam Greenlight.Steam announces new Family Sharing feature
By Joe Jasko
In another extremely smart and extremely innovative move, Steam has announced its plans today to launch a new "Family Sharing" feature into the popular game service and download portal. The new feature, which is said to enter a limited beta period in the near future, will enable multiple users of the same computer to play each other's distinctly owned games on their personal accounts for the first time, while still maintaining their own progress and achievements via cloud auto-saving and storage.Replay Wednesdays: My Singing Monsters, Joining Hands 2, and more!
