Luftrausers is a 2D aerial combat game from Vlambeer. Gamezebo's quick start guide will provide you with some tips and hints to brave the skies and last as long as possible in this punishing arcade experience.
After several hours with the game, I can't tell you what Luftrausers means. I don't speak German, and the best Google Translate can tell me is that "luft" means "air" and "raus" means "out." I can, however, tell you what it's about.Luftrausers, the latest game from Vlambeer (Ridiculous Fishing, Super Crate Box) is about pushing back against the inevitable. From the moment it introduces you with the message "PRESS UP TO RAUS" you're fighting against gravity, trying to keep your unlikely World War I/II amalgam aircraft out of the water below.Seconds later you're bombarded with all manner of biplane, fighter jet, dirigible and battleship. Suddenly it's about surviving against the overwhelming tide of onscreen projectiles with controls I will generously describe as "loosey goosey."
Ridiculous Fishing is an action fishing game from Vlambeer, wherein you will fish in the most bizarre of ways. Fishing in such a unique way may be intimidating and frustrating at first, but with Gamezebo's quick start guide you'll have all of the tips, tricks and knowhow you'll need to stay ahead of the game.
If you're reading this, and you haven't downloaded and played Vlambeer's Ridiculous Fishing, it means that you've lived a joyless life since it hit the App Store last night. If by some chance you're stumbling across this in the days, weeks, or - let's not think about it - months following the game's release, and still don't have it on your phone or tablet, you have a dangerously large fun vacuum you need to fill. And if… Okay, let's just put it this way: you have absolutely no excuse not to purchase and play copious amounts of this game. Unless you're reading this hundreds of years in the future on a supercomputer in a post-Earth colony. And even then, you're on thin ice.
There's nothing fun about armed combat. Unless there is. Such is the party line in the next major title from the ceaselessly creative duo at Vlambeer: Luftrausers. A mash-up of the World War II era and the Game & Watch era, the title is a self-described "arcade-style aerial combat shooter." For all you civilians out there, that translates to one thing and one thing only: a retro shoot-em-up full of planes. Planes that you can explode.
Originally released as a free download for desktop gamers back in 2010, Super Crate Box was a brilliant mash-up of old school one-screen platformers and frantic modern indie design. Now more than a year later the game has come to iOS - but is it as good in your pocket as it is on your PC?
Fishing may be relaxing, but it can also be rather boring. So why not add some guns? That's the idea behind Ridiculous Fishing, the upcoming iOS sequel to the cult hit browser game Radical Fishing. You catch fish, toss them into the air, and then blow them to smithereens. But, more importantly, the fish wear little hats.
