CSI: Crime City Review
By Alicia Ashby
Facebook hasn't really seen the promised invasion of high-quality games from established, big-name developers using major licensed brands this year... until now, anyway. If CSI: Crime City is an example of what Ubisoft andArea/Code Entertainmentcan do when making a branded Treasure Madness clone... well, I'd hate to be a guy at a tiny start-up with no license making a random Treasure Madness clone. CSI: Crime City is one of the most immediately engaging treasure hunting games on Facebook, though it's cleverly disguised as a crime-solving game.Assassin’s Creed: Project Legacy Preview
When Assassin's Creed II came out for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 late last year, its award-winning tale of political intrigue and arcane secrets kept me up deep into the night for several weeks. When I learned that Ubisoft had created Assassin's Creed: Project Legacy for Facebook in preparation for an upcoming sequel for consoles, I expected that my days would be similarly sucked away. So far, however, all I see is a clever clone of well-known Facebook games equipped with a few intriguing perks.Party Central Preview
By Erin Bell
Party games - not games that you play at a party, but games about throwing parties - have become a bit of a trend on Facebook lately. Ubisoft's Party Central is the latest to hit the social network, and like Atommica's Home Fest it's about having a party at your house and seeing how many guests you can get to show up.Classic Word Games Review
By Brock Cooper
I remember in elementary school the teacher would bring a couple of people to the chalk board for a game of Hang Man. It was simple and yet fun and I still remember it to this day. Classic Word Games brings that thrill back, but with a broader vocabulary and few more games. The Settlers – My City Review
By Brock Cooper
The Settlers: My City is like an unfinished Van Gogh painting. It has the potential to blow away the kingdom sim competition, but only if the artists can lift their brushes and deliver what they promise. The premise should be familiar to fans of strategy/ simulation games. The kingdom is in disarray and you must restore it to its former glory. How? Not by sword and fire, but by managing businesses, such as bakeries and butcher's shops, and building residences for your subjects.Voodoo Dice Review
It's a premise we've all seen many times before: you control a block, moving one space at a time, and you'll have to make your way from one end of a level to the exit on the other side. From iPhone games like Edge to PC puzzlers like Puzzle Dimension, it's well tread territory. But in spite of this, Voodoo Dice manages to add enough new to the formula to make it worth playing, though at times it can be a little too frustrating for its own good.Prince of Persia Retro Review
By Ryan Kuo
Prince of Persia Retro is a perfect port of Jordan Mechner's classic Prince of Persia, and an easy addition to your app library. The game's two-dimensional sights and sounds are a tight fit for the iPhone's small screen. Its combo of platforming, exploration, swordfighting, and high drama are just as addictive as they used to be. Even the touch controls are right on, and arguably feel more intuitive than the keyboard buttons we used in the '80s. But it's also perfect to a (slight, but nagging) fault.Tick Tock Review
By Jim Squires
The pressure is on. Do you think you know your friends? You'd better hope you do, because in six wrong answers a bomb will go off! Tick Tock is the debut Facebook game from powerhouse developer UbiSoft that puts your relationships to the test. Send and recieve bombs to each other that quiz your Friends List knowledge, and expect a face full of explosion if you don't know your friends as well as you think.
