Ghost Recon Commander Review
Before diving in to Ghost Recon Commander, I was conflicted. On one hand, it had the right pedigree behind it. Not only was developer Loot Drop headed by industry veterans John Romero (you know, the guy that made that Doom game?) and Brenda Garno Brathwaite (Ravenwood Fair), but they were both massive fans of the series. On the other hand, it was Ghost Recon. How well could it work on Facebook? Spoiler alert: very.

Horse Haven Review
Horse Haven would seem to be a no-brainer when it comes to constructing a successful Facebook game, combining the virtual pet mechanics of raising and breeding favorite animals with farm sim elements of growing crops and managing livestock. Even better, Horse Haven focuses the whole thing around raising, breeding, and working horses. The basic idea is that you move from a starter horse to obtaining better horses, and then breeding new horses to increase your ranch's size and replace older horses that are retired "over the rainbow."

When you think about it, House's cold, blunt demeanor pairs up well with the stark, impersonal diagnoses that you tend to get from the Internet's medical websites ("Got a runny nose? Eh, it's probably cancer"). In fact, House MD - Critical Cases initially presents itself as a great showcase for House's snark and sarcasm as well as the show's medical mysteries. Unfortunately, the title's lackluster scattering of mini-games and constant strong-arming for microtransactions makes it a pretty fragmented hospital drama.

Though it's been sad to see Rayman take a backseat over the years in his own franchise, the birth of the Rabbid games has been rich with rewards. Ubisoft has struck gold with their new brand of humor, and it's given these crazy creatures license to do just about anything they want in the world of gaming. Rabbids Invasion sees the critters now invading the social scene, and once again they make "crazy" hip and hilarious.
