The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the beat ’em up genre have a proud shared history, with the fighting humanoid turtles having been in some of Konami’s finest beat ’em ups in the 80’s and 90’s. So with the franchise’s …
Combo Crew is a beat'em'up for touch screen devices from The Game Bakers. The studio's creative director, Emeric Thoa, doesn't want you to get knocked out too quickly. He's been kind enough to share the following tips and tricks with Gamezebo's readers.
Combo Crew is something of a love letter to the beat 'em ups and brawlers of the late 80's and early 90's, as the influence of games such as Double Dragon, Final Fight, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is clearly apparent. That said, Combo Crew doesn't simply copy the formula, but rather uses it as a starting point to make something unique and arguably better suited for the iPhone.
Games with titles that suit them always make me smile, so a beat 'em up called Combo Crew is guaranteed to make me grin. The Game Bakers' upcoming mobile game will allow players to battle through waves of enemies either solo or co-op to reach the top of a tower in the style of classic brawlers. Combos, you say? Yes, I think so.
SQUIDS Wild West is worth the money. I don't really like evaluating games from the cost/benefit perspective, but SQUIDS Wild West is undeniably worth the budget price it costs in the App Store. This game could sell for $35 on the 3DS and it wouldn't be out of place next to the other pieces of software available for the system. Yet at launch, this game only costs 99 cents. Its artwork, its animations, its character -- almost everything about SQUIDS exudes warmth and attention to detail. It is a labor of love, not just a product. And, most importantly, it's fun.
In the world of sequel tropes, the wild west is an oft-ignored setting. More often than not we see a leap to space, or a trip to Manhattan - neither of which possess the same level of romance as the gun-totin' west. Does this mean SQUIDS Wild West, the upcoming sequel to the highly popular SQUIDS, will be the most romantic squid-based game of all time? One can only hope.
Squids is a wonderfully unique strategy RPG from The Game Bakers that blends storytelling and arcade physics with turn-based gameplay. Using your little squid army, it's up to you to restore order to the deep blue sea back from the chaos that was caused by some not-so-nice sea creatures. If you find yourself lost in the waves, don't worry as Gamezebo's quick start guide has all the tips, tricks, cheats and solutions you need to stay ahead of the current!
When you think of squids, you probably think about slimy sea creatures or tasty calamari or —if you're a fan of the classics— that monster that attacked the Nautilus in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Until now, our tentacled friends aren't exactly known for being cute and cuddly. That's all about to change, though, thanks to Squids, the first game from The Game Bakers. And with how great this game is, it looks like squids are about to get a massive public image adjustment for the better.
