As something of a closet trivia fanatic, there are few series I hold as close to my heart as Buzz. Created by Relentless Software for Sony's PlayStation brand, Buzz is a quiz franchise that's provided endless hours of entertainment in my household. So it's with some excitement that I went into the notion of Quiz Climber, a new social trivia game developed by Relentless Software and published by Chillingo for the iPhone.
Chillingo is getting in on the iOS social games movement by pitting friends against one another. In trivia, that is. The publisher has just announced that they're joining forces with Relentless Software (the developer behind popular games like Blue Toad Murder Files for PC and the Buzz! franchise on PlayStation consoles) to create Quiz Climber, a new social game that will feature players competing against each other with trivia knowledge.
Quaint English villages are well known for their lovely gardens, never ending supplies of tea, eccentric residents, and, of course, high crime rates. At least that's the case with Little Riddle. In Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mystery of Little Riddle you play as a detective investigating a string of mysterious crimes that take place in the village. It's a beautiful game with challenging puzzles, a well written story, and a wonderful sense of charm. It makes for a great multi-player experience, though sadly playing it by yourself can feel a bit empty.
Relentless Software has announced that its bringing the whimsical murder mystery game Blue Toad Murder Files: The Mysteries of Little Riddle to the PC. The game was originally released in Dec. 2009 on the PlayStation Network, and will launch as a PC digital download on Nov. 24 at www.bluetoadmurderfiles.co.uk and other portals.
