It's actually a pretty ingenious idea to develop a video game that can be cross-promoted with actual, physical products. Just look at the success/cash cow that console games like Skylanders have become, and it is kind of a no-brainer. It's thanks to this concept that the fine folks at Nikko and Paladin Studios (Momonga Pinball) have released a new iOS racing game that not only provides plenty of fun for racing fans, but also reminds us that there's still a lot to like about RC cars.
Momonga Pinball Adventures Preview
Back in 2005 Nintendo released Metroid Prime Pinball for the DS. With the exception of Tetris DS, I did not play any other game nearly as much as that unique take on Samus' world. The idea of an adventure game in a pinball table was fascinating. Though it could have benefitted from taking more liberties instead of sticking almost completely to traditional pinball conventions, it was still a crazy fun game that slipped under a lot of radars. Dutch developer Paladin Studios has taken that idea and fleshed it out completely with their upcoming iOS and Anrdroid game Momonga Pinball Adventures.
Jimmy Pataya Review
Jimmy Pataya digs jumping out of airplanes without a parachute or a plan. It's that kind of fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants thinking that got him into the mess known as the "Grinder," which is a pretty accurate name for the gauntlet he's about to run. Now it's up to you to and guide Jimmy through the blades as he falls to Earth. Spoiler warning: he'll never make it to the ground; he'll just fall forever. Which I guess is just as well since he's got no parachute. Jimmy, you gotta start thinking before you leap!
