Draw Something is more than a simple Pictionary clone. While it stems off the same concept that has been used over and over, there are no time limits and no punishments for incorrect guesses. These aspects, along with the one-on-one setting, remove any sense of competition from the game. The resulting experience is less a game, and more an insight into individual personalities.
With so many gem-based puzzle games coming out on what seems like a monthly basis, it's tempting to consider a name like "Gem Rush" as a metaphor for the current state of the genre on Facebook. Most, to be sure, are forgettable, and even the best of them sometimes feel like doppelgangers of Bejeweled Blitz. I'm pleased to say that this isn't really the case with Gem Rush. Far from being a mere rip-off, Gem Rush provides a slick, fast-paced experience that will suck you in for dozens of minutes at a time. The only is question is whether if offers enough to keep its players past the initial rush.
Snoops is a detective game on Facebook developed by OMGPOP, in which you uncover clues by searching different scenes. Gamezebo's Snoops walkthrough and guide will help you become acquainted with the game and give you tips on how to best use your resources within it.
In Snoops you get to be a private eye, searching for clues in an attempt to nail the bad guy. It's a game that takes a pretty standard social game formula -- searching a grid-like environment, one square at a time -- and attempts to make it unique with a great sense of style and some interesting new ideas. Unfortunately not all of those new ideas are as interesting as they first seem, and so you're left with an average, but disappointing, experience.
Puppy World is a game that tries to overwhelm you with sheer cuteness. When a tiny little pup looks at you with its impossibly large eyes it's a hard game to dislike, unless you're some sort of monster. But when you get right down to it, the puppy raising mechanic isn't all that different from what you'll find in other social games, whether they're about farming or raising animals or whatever. It's still an enjoyable, if unremarkable, game, but it relies a little too much on cuddly looking puppies.
Puppy World is an iPhone game developed by OMGPOP that lets you raise adorable puppies in order to save the world from evil. Draw My Thing is basically an Internet version of the classic party game Pictionary. Players gather together in a chatroom-like environment, with one player given 60 seconds to draw a picture that evokes a keyword. Other players who guess the word gain points, while the artist gains points for drawing a guessable picture without cheating and just writing the word down. After everyone draws one or two pictures, depending on total number of players, the points are totaled up and a winner is declared. You get the option to share your (often hilariously bad) artwork with your friends if you like.
