Amidst the glut of Angry Birds wannabes, Monkey Quest: Thunderbow has hit the App Store backed by the power of Nickelodeon. Based on the publisher's free online adventure, Monkey Quest: Thunderbow sprinkles in a few new ingredients to a now exhausted physics formula.
As releases like GAMEBOX and Capcom Arcade have shown, the notion of bundling a bunch of different games into a single app is nothing new. And yet, a worthwhile collection isn't all too common. What do you do when you're stuck on island with nothing but a Port-a-Potty, your wits, and some spare airplane parts? While it might be tempting to use this to build a crazy Swiss Family Robinson treehouse (only cooler because, y'know, it's made from airplanes), but the correct answer is apparently to turn the outhouse into a flying machine with a poop-powered engine, race down the nearest hillside, fly to the next island, and start the whole process over again. Or, at least, that's the lesson that Potty Racers 2 would have us believe. Too bad the lesson sounds a lot more fun than it is.

However, after spending some time with SpongeBob Marbles & Slides on my iPhone and iPad, I'm starting to rethink my position on this strange little sea creature.
World's Hardest Game is an iPhone app that actually lives up to its title. The idea is simple, the mechanics are easy, but trying to accomplish anything is mind-numbingly difficult. That's not to say the game is bad - in fact it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do. World's Hardest Game offers up an easy-to-learn game that will make your blood boil in its first five minutes.
