Big Win Football Review
By Nick Tylwalk
Everyone loves dynasties. Jay-Z likes talking about them, and general managers of sports teams spend a ton of time and money trying to build them. Since most of us are a bit short on both of those things, it's nice that Hothead Games has come up with Big Win Football. Now, building your own mini football empire can be done from your iPhone or iPad, and honestly, that's a lot easier than working your way up to become GM, anyway.Zombie Ace Review
I'm comfortable saying that "endless runner" is a bonafide genre now. Canabalt was really the first one to break out; it hit the ground running (terrible pun review quota filled) and never looked back. While the setup is different from title to title, the point is always the same: travel as far as possible. There's no beating the game per se, just go as far as you can without failing. Zombie Ace has the same great trappings, but adds some much-needed complexity to the proceedings.Sudoku Rush Review
Hothead games have had a bit of a weird trajectory in the game making territory. They busted out of the game with the Penny Arcade game, then followed it up with Monkey Island alum Ron Gilbert's Deathspank. They then turned to iOS devices with Chromanoids and Bunny the Zombie Slayer. They've continued this mobile trend with their own take on classic number puzzles in Sudoku Rush.Gem King Review

When Peggle hit the scene back in 2007, people simple couldn't get enough of its pachinko-inspired ways. Since then a number of games have tried to copy PopCap's winning formula. Sushi Cat, Dachinko, aYa-Manku - they all put their own unique spin on pachinko gameplay. Kickin Momma is the latest such game to follow in Peggle's wake, but it fails to do anything really unique enough to stand out.Kard Combat Review

When I look at the calendar, I know it's 2011 - but when I look at my iPhone games collection, I can't help but wonder if it's really just 1994 all over again. Why would I wonder this, you might ask? Because customizable card games are back in a big way on the App Store, and I for one couldn't be happier. Kard Combat is the latest such release, and it's easily one of the best in the bunch.Kard Combat Preview

If you're among the throngs of card-based gamers who are eagerly awaiting the worldwide release of Kard Combat, Hothead Games has put together a new video the whet your appetites even further. The game's producer Hamish Millar (read Gamezebo's interview with him here) has put together a nice little 4 minute video walking viewers through the basics of Kard Combat's gameplay - and Gamezebo readers are getting the first look! The Baconing Preview

Indie developer Hothead Games (Cell Bound, Bunny the Zombie Slayer, Chromanoids) has released the first set of images for their upcoming sci-fi adventure game for PC/Mac, The Baconing.Cell Bound Review
Every now and then, a game comes along for the iPhone that is simply wonderful. Hothead Games, the folks behind bigger-budget Penny Arcade Adventures and Deathspank games, should be proud of the fact that their new title for the iPhone, Cell Bound, completely fits into this category. This is one of those titles that manages to get just about everything right, and it does so with brilliant simplicity.
