Immortal Dusk Review
"Every 20 years, man kill one of their kind in the name of 'Mate' to regenerate Solar, which the rest of them need to breathe the air." So it goes in Immortal Dusk, a Diablo-esque action-RPG for the Android that's unfortunately plagued by shoddy controls, repetitive, single-button gameplay and, yes, a pretty bumpy translation into English.

The new RTS Plants War is an intense action-strategy game pitting you, at the head of the Plants, against the computer-controlled forces of the Beasts in a struggle for dominance of a post-human world. The basics of battle are simple enough to grasp in this fast-paced free-to-play game, but unless you're willing to sink money or some serious grinding time into it, you can expect to have a very tough row to hoe.

The Zenonia games remind me a bit of the Resident Evil films: The newer titles seem to be working really hard to make up for the problems of their predecessors. In the case of Zenonia, each release has done a lot to correct the shortcomings of the previous game. With Zenonia 4, the overall quality has been refined into something that's pretty solid, though it's still not quite perfect.

With simple controls combined with role-playing elements and business management, the game works well but isn't always direct in its instruction. Moreover, it disallows much play in the first sitting.

It seems like it was only a few months ago that we were knee deep in the retro-style action RPG Zenonia 3, but as is the case with any good franchise, the next entry in the series is in the works already. Details are scant, but some screenshots surfaced today from the upcoming fourth instalment of the series, which is to be called Zenonia 4: Return of the Legend.
