    The last Bit.Trip game to hit PC, Bit.Trip Fate is the penultimate entry in the six-title saga detailing Commander Video's birth, life, death, and beyond.  Although Fate fulfills the Bit.Trip model of "rhythm game wrapped in another genre," it focuses more on gameplay than music, operating as an on-rails side-scrolling shooter that is supported—but not defined—by its dubstep soundtrack.  This grants players more freedom, but also reduces the power of music and actions in the world of Fate.

    With only four short months separating this sequel's release from the original, some might be quick to call Sword & Poker 2 little more than a cash grab trying to capitalize on the recent popularity of the first. But those criticisms quickly fall to the wayside for anyone who takes the plunge to play. Sword & Poker 2 manages to add a number of minor twists and tweaks that take the outstanding gameplay of Sword & Poker and makes it even more enjoyable than before.

    Poker games and fantasy role-playing games tend to exist on opposite ends of the gaming spectrum. The former is rooted in the real world of casinos and cards, while the latter is about as far from the real world as you can get.
