Special Enquiry Detail: The Hand That Feeds is from the same folks who brought you the Women's Murder Club hidden object games, and it shows. The mystery, involving the death of a philanthropist's teenage daughter, is smart and well written, and the game itself is polished and enthralling. If only the characters would just keep their mouths shut.
Floodlight Games is working on a new hidden object game, Special Enquiry Detail. The game is clearly influenced by the crime drama themes you would find in hit TV shows as CSI and NCIS. You play as Detectives Turino and Lamonte, recently assigned to the NYPD: Special Enquiry Detail unit. Before they even have time to settle in, they are assigned to a case involving the suspicious death of the daughter of wealthy family o benefactors.
When it comes to hidden object games with romantic themes, Cupid's arrow has tended to miss the mark. If Gamezebo's past reviews of such games are any indication it just goes to show that even though HOGs and romance novels might seem like a perfect fit for each other, there's still plenty that can go wrong in the execution. Leave it to the folks at I-play and Floodlight Games (the team behind the successful Agatha Christie and Women's Murder Club hidden object franchises) to get things right with Nora Roberts: Vision in White.
I-play and Floodlight Games (the folks who brought us the Women's Murder Club series in partnership with novelist James Patterson), are teaming up with another best-selling author for the upcoming hidden object game Nora Roberts: Vision in White. Vision in White is named after and based on the first book in Nora Roberts' Bride Quartet series. You'll play Mackensie Eliot, a wedding photographer and one of the four founders of Vows, Connecticut's premier wedding planning company. Mackensie, or "Mac" to her friends, runs the company with her three childhood friends Parker Brown (the company's wedding coordinator), Emma Grant (the florist), and Laurel McBane (the pastry chef).
Yet another Agatha Christie mystery has gone interactive with I-play's Agatha Christie: Dead Man's Folly, the third hidden-object game (HOG) in the series, following Death on the Nile and Peril at End House.
Following the success of Death on the Nile and Peril at End House, I-play and Floodlight Games have teamed up again for Agatha Christie: Dead Man's Folly, a hidden object mystery that brings another of Agatha Christie's classic mystery tales to life. As a guest at the beautiful Nasse House in the English countryside, you are invited to take part in a thrilling mock-murder game. While visitors follow clues to figure out "whodunit," those in charge find themselves with a rising sense of uncertainty. Could an insider be using this charade as the perfect disguise for some despicable scheme?
