You can count on the sun to rise in the morning. You can count on spring to follow winter. And you can count on one of Facebook's hidden object games (HOGs) to closely emulate the formula that was initially laid down by Gardens of Time some years ago. And yet EA has supplied us with JetSet Secrets, a title that offers small break in the ordinary. It's a detective HOG that attempts to buck tradition, and in a few ways it succeeds nicely. Unfortunately, it's still shackled by scads of social HOG failings and isn't anywhere near a perfect experience.
JetSet Secrets Walkthrough
JetSet Secrets is a Hidden Object game from EA Games. You play as the "World's Greatest Detective" and you are tasked with solving the "Most Glamorous Crimes". You are also tasked with building up your own private island and staffing it with an eclectic group of employees. EA Mobile is rolling out a free-to-play version of everybody's favorite "dice in a cup" game - Yahtzee! Players can go head-to-head against Facebook friends or square off against random strangers by way of the game's "Guest Mode."

The game, which is coming this fall, is called JetSet Secrets; and it's a light-hearted take on a genre that typically features uneasy ghosts and dead bodies piled up in dark corners.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out Review
You have to hand The Simpsons: Tapped Out one thing: it certainly doesn't hide its intentions. Almost every step of the tutorial pokes fun at the nickel-and-dime conventions of social city building, particularly in the form of the donuts that pass for premium currency, and much like Homer, it's rarely subtle. At one point, standing in one of the alternate Springfields (in other words, your friends' creations), Homer exclaims,"Wow, I'd spend money--real money--to have a town like this!" If it weren't so flagrant in its own attempts to nickel and dime you, it'd be worth appreciating EA's take on The Simpsons universe as satire of the highest order.
