When a hotel in France starts experiencing some supernatural phenomenon, it only makes sense to call the NYPD, right? OK, maybe not. But that's the premise of Hotel, a point-and-click adventure from Cateia Games (The Legend of Crystal Valley, Iron Roses) that manages to make the genre more appealing to new players, though this will probably make it a far too easy experience for adventure game veterans.

Hotel will tell the tale of a New York police detective that stumbles upon a global conspiracy in a French hotel.
Shaman Odyssey: Tropic Adventure Review
Cateia Games' Shaman Odyssey is the latest tropical island-themed building/sim game where you're tasked with shepherding a tribe of villagers through various challenges and dangers on a quest to reach their "true home." While the game boasts some unique graphical tricks, the wholly unoriginal premise and lacklustre gameplay is a bit of a disappointment. The game begins when the tribe's young Shaman (you, the player), is visited by an ancestral spirit who urges him to reunite the tribe - whose people have been scattered throughout many different islands - and lead them to a permanent and safe home.-

As your village's shaman, it will be your job to make your villagers happy and productive while exploring various tropical islands. Although a tropical island might seem like the perfect place to live, things aren't that simple. Hazards like pirates, sharks, and storms are threatening the villagers and their families, and the members of your tribe have scattered to the surrounding islands. You'll have to help your people reunite and build a safe new place to live.
