Hidden Island Review
By David Stone
A good game is like a cake. There is a delicate balance, an alchemy, an art. Mix just the right ingredients together, bake it just right, and it tastes delicious. Hidden Island is like an underbaked cake: it's got all the right ingredients, but hasn't been in the oven long enough.Resembling PlayFirst's Zenerchi at first glance - indeed, one could argue "heavily borrowed" - Hidden Island is a match-three using concentric circles made up of colored segments. They stack five around, and five deep, looking like a well. The goal is to make matches of three like-colors, either vertically towards the middle of the well, or in a ring horizontally.Cooking Quest Review
