It's not because I just returned from visiting Pixar Animation Studios that I find similarities in the story between the animated flick, Ratatouille, and Alawar's new hidden object game, Mystery Cookbook. After all, both follow a mouse/rat who wants to be a skilled chef. Um, sound familiar? While we won't dock points for story unoriginality, we must in the gameplay department, and for other issues, which we'll soon get to.
Elias the Mighty Review
Ever notice how most great movie villains have foreign accents? Russian, German, British... it usually depends on when it was made, but the common thread is there. Animated films are particularly notorious for this. You will find plenty of Russian villains in Elias the Mighty, but also some Russian heroes too - in fact, the game is based on a Russian folk legend.

Talking care of children has got to be one of the toughest jobs in the world. It's amazing how much adventure, drama, comedy and tragedy can fit into such a little package. Oh yeah, and horror - have I mentioned that? Try babysitting at 6pm, also known as "witching hour" or the "six o'clock screamfest" and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. And yet, despite this, there is a never-ending line of people happy to sign up for the job.
Feelers Review
By all rights, Feelers should have been one incredibly forgettable game. It is, after all, just a 2-D shooting gallery with a name that's ... what's it called again? But -- and you've got to trust me on this one -- the folks at Alawar have hatched a shooter that's so much fun that, well, let's just say that I've battled my way through to level 37 with just two more to go. 'Nuff said?
