Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe, the gorgeous PC and console 3D platformer from developer Chubby Pixel, has just made the jump to mobile. You can download it for free right now on the Google Play Store and the App Store.

Originally released in 2014, Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe takes its inspiration from classic 3D platformers like Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64.

It sees you playing as an intrepid little log called Woodle, whose heady task it is to save the world. This entails gathering the magical water drops that litter the game’s eight distinct environments in order to restore universal balance and harmony.

Gameplay-wise, you’ll spend your time running around and exploring the 3D environment by jumping on platforms, riding on lifts, disappearing into pipes, rocketing into the air on jets of water, and swatting at monsters with your trusty leaf as you hunt for those droplets.

There’s a secondary task, too. Each stage is littered with berries that let you upgrade your leaf attacks, allowing you to make short work of your cuddly antagonists. The local co-op mode, meanwhile, lets a second player join in as Woodle Beaver.

As you can see in the video below, Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe is a gorgeous game, with slick, console quality 3D graphics and an adorable aesthetic that has shades of Pikmin, Super Mario 3D World, and even a sprinkling of Adventure Time.

It’s a terrific mobile port, too. Not only does it run at 60fps, matching the console versions frame for frame, but it comes with enhanced jumping mechanics, camera improvements, and a whole extra level.

In short, mobile is probably the best platform to play Woodle Tree Adventures Deluxe on, and you can download it for free right now on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
