The Wizard with a Gun release is here! The latest survival sandbox title features explosive roguelike combat (quite literally) and a charming art style. You play as, you guessed it, a Wizard with a Gun. Although there are plenty of additional abilities to wield during each level as you battle against hordes of oddly cute enemies and challenging bosses.

If you haven’t heard of the fabled Wizard who wields a gun, then you’re in for a real treat. You can opt to play solo or with a friend thanks to the 2-player co-op as you strive to survive. You’ll need to gather plenty of materials and resources to aid you in your crafting – which is another important element in the roguelike!
To deal with the oncoming evil, you must craft ammo and weapons, allowing you to experiment with a variety of different builds to utilise alongside your ever-growing magical powers. Make sure you keep your magic in check though, you don’t want to destroy your survival base, do you?
Fan of wizard garb? Well, you’ll be glad to know that you can craft a range of wizardy hats and outfits to make sure that you look stylish while destroying your opponents – with the addition of stat boosts of course.
With an art style that reminds me of Cult of the Lamb and an environmental design that takes me back to the days of Hades, Wizard with a Gun not only contains hours of fun, but a cosy cartoony vibe that keeps you coming back for more. That’s the beauty of roguelikes – they look great, they play great, and there’s tons of replayability.
