The world is chaotic at the moment, but new mobile game Viral Days shows us that there are steps we can all take to protect each other. It’s an entertaining mix of strategy and management with a message that we all should be heeding right now.
You’re in charge of the health of a town that’s caught in the grip of a virus. But you’ve got some tools in your arsenal to stop the spread. You can send people who are infected home to quarantine, as well as handing out masks to the general population to protect them from becoming ill.
Everything is presented in lovely cartoon graphics, and you’ll be able to spot infected locals by the miasmic cloud of particles surrounding them. That cloud will spread to others if they get too close, so you need to keep an eye on social distancing as well. Everything happens in real time, so you need to be quick to keep the pandemic at bay.

You’ll have to send certain people to hospital, as well as giving the police the powers to keep people separated, disperse crowds and arrest people who aren’t following lockdown rules. There are 25 levels, and you’re going to have to be on your toes to complete them all.
