The Game Equation has announced that development is underway on Deep Blue Sea 2. Sequel to the impressive match-3 game Deep Blue Sea, the follow-up not only promises 200+ puzzle levels but an additional 60+ hidden object levels in three unique nautical locations.
In Deep Blue Sea 2, players match whimsical sea creatures and sunken treasures to release buried artifacts. Divers can earn upgrades, purchase new equipment and, over time, assemble a crew of fellow divers, each with unique abilities.
"Casual games shouldn’t sacrifice quality, innovation or complexity," said The Game Equation Founder Brian Meidell. "The superior graphics and level of engagement are unprecedented in Deep Blue Sea 2 and will appeal to first-time players and experienced casual gamers alike. The puzzles and adventures are built within multiple underwater graphical worlds, so there is much to explore and uncover."
Deep Blue Sea 2 is set to launch in March for both PC and Mac. For further reading, check out Gamezebo’s review of Deep Blue Sea and our vintage interview with Brian Meidell.
