Thank You For Your Application is an indie RPG and sim that’s about job interviews. But it’s not exactly the kind of office job most people would dream about. Your workday decides who gets hired, who gets rejected, and whether giant corporations deserve your loyalty. Not your usual HR, though!

Thank You For Your Application is developed by IceLemonTea Studio and published by IceLemonTea Studio alongside No More Robots. The game is now out on Steam for PC, and there’s a 15% discount running for the next two weeks. Console and mobile versions are also planned for later this year.

You play as a fresh graduate who lands a rare position at the biggest company in Aeropolis City. After going through 15 rounds of interviews yourself, you’re reassigned as a junior interviewer and suddenly become the person sitting on the other side of the desk.

Your daily routine revolves around reviewing candidates and deciding their futures. Every applicant arrives with a pile of paperwork, and it’s your job to figure out whether they meet whatever requirements the company has.

That means checking internship certificates, examining graduation certificates, and reviewing Psychological Evaluation Reports. If candidates don’t meet the standards, you send out thank-you letters for all sorts of reasons. If they do, they move forward.

Thank You For Your Application lets you work through applicant after applicant

You run into all kinds of job seekers, increasingly ridiculous corporate policies, and strange recruitment demands. One of the main themes is whether you’ll support capital and company rules or side with workers who are trying to survive inside the system.

Once the workday ends, you go back to a bleak apartment. There, you have the usual responsibilities. Bills need to be paid. Rent needs to be paid. Forums can be browsed. Your mental health also requires constant attention because the company has no use for employees who suffer breakdowns.

Thank You For Your Application is now available on Steam.
