Sonic comes to Steam

By Jim Squires |

Riddle me this: What’s blue, fast, and finally on your PC? If you said Windows 7, well… you’re a few years late to the party. But if you said Sonic the Hedgehog, you’re spot on!

PC gamers have been feeling a bit of Sonic-envy over the last few years, with Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I and the sublime port of Sonic CD appearing on just about every major platform you can imagine except their own. But SEGA has seen fit to remedy that, and at a pretty reasonable price too! Both of the aforementioned titles are currently available on Steam for $4.99 each.

Fans of Spiral Knights will get a nice little bonus for purchasing, too, as Steam buyers of Sonic CD will get a Metal Sonic suit to wear in SEGA’s free-to-play MMO. Players will also be able acquire a Tails accessory from within the game.

Be sure to read our earlier reviews of Sonic 4 and Sonic CD (based on the mobile releases) to see if they’d be a worthy addition to your collection.
