Smurfs’ Village coming to Android September 28th

Freemium games have made a big splash in mobile over the last year, but few have been as successful as Smurfs’ Village. A social game based on a licensed property that most of us had thought lost its relevance around the same time as audio cassettes and 21 Jump Street, Smurfs’ Village has managed to maintain high spot on the top grossing apps list for nearly a year. It should come as no surprise then, that Beeline has chosen it to be the first of their freemium social games to expand to Android.

There are no details regarding cross-platform compatibility at this time, nor is there any confirmation that more freemium releases will be coming to Android – but we’re hopeful for both. Beeline has a great catalogue of iOS games out there – Lil’ Pirates, Monster Pet Shop, Zombie Cafe – and we’d love to see every one of them make their way to Android.

While we keep our fingers crossed for the future, be sure to check out our Smurfs’ Village coverage from the past. Get prepared for what’s coming by reading our four star review, and don’t forget to check out our quick start guide to learn everything you’ll need to know to get started!
