Sentinels of the Multiverse is currently a fraction of its usual price on the App Store, where you can get it for a mere dollar right now.
If you haven’t heard of this, it’s an award winning digital board game that challenges you to build your own team of comic book heroes – complete with individual play styles, backstories, and grudges – and send them out into battle against a bunch of evil villains.
In total, there are 10 heroes, four villains, and four environments to traverse – and that’s just for the base game. You can purchase expansion packs as IAPs to unlock more of everything or just grab the Season Pass to get everything all at once.
In terms of gameplay, it’s basically a card battle. Each turn, you can either play a card, use a power, or draw a card, and developing your own strategies is a huge part of the battle.
There’s a single player campaign and multiplayer, which allows you to work cooperatively with other players. Sadly, there’s no PvP, but you can’t have everything in life.
