Rovio teases new Angry Birds Star Wars game

Rovio is teasing another new Angry Birds game based on the Star Wars universe today on their company blog. I’m not as current with my Star Wars history as I should be, but word on the street is that the new game might be based on the original Star Wars prequel trilogy, as alluded to in the first released concept art of the upcoming game.

Rovio promises this new yet-to-be-announced Angry Birds Star Wars game to feature the “biggest character line-up ever, awesome new powers, and maybe even a few surprises!” We’ll find out more details on Monday, July 15, when the game will be officially announced.

It should also be noted that this new Star Wars-themed Angry Birds game looks to be different still from Angry Birds Go!, which Rovio also began teasing last month, and which we still don’t really know all that much about.
