As we detailed earlier this week, Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion is out right now on iPhone. If you already own it on iPad, you don’t have to buy it again.

That’s because the original iPad version has now become a universal app. When you download it on iPhone, you’ll notice extensive UI reworks to suit the smaller screen though.

Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion is Now a Universal App

Barbarian Invasion takes place three centuries after the events of Rome: Total War, with the Roman Empire a shadow of its former glory.

It’s facing war from numerous Barbarian tribes, and its forces are stretched. During the campaign, you can either play as one of eight new Barbarian tribes and destroy the Roman Empire for good or play as the Romans and try to keep the Empire alive.

In total, there are 10 new factions to play as and a massive new campaign to complete with a ton of replayability. You don’t even have to own Rome: Total War as this is a standalone app.

You can grab Barbarian Invasion from the App Store right now. Simply click on the link at the top of this post.
