Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion has finally launched on Android, bringing the next chapter of the experience to that platform.

It takes place during the last few years of the Roman Empire, and sees you either defending its reign from total destruction or bringing it down yourself as one of the many new Barbarian Tribes.

Barbarian Invasion Takes Place During the Final Years of the Roman Empire

In total, there are 18 new factions to play as in the expansion, and a huge new campaign that provides plenty of replayablity given that you can play for both sides across a bunch of different factions.

This is the second of the Rome: Total War trilogy to launch on Android, leaving only Alexander to make the transition. The three games are currently available on iOS, and have been hugely overhauled for the mobile platform.

Each game has a brand new UI and touch controls and the visuals look terrific on the smaller screen. It’s definitely a trilogy worth checking out for fans of strategy games on iOS.
