Harmonix, the game studio best known for creating both the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises, might just be bringing its music game talents to Facebook.

No official announcements have been made, but a resume for Rock Band 3 senior designer Brian Chan shows that he has also been working on an unannounced project for Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Network, and Facebook. If true, this would be the studio’s first forray into social gaming.

However, Harmonix has yet to confirm the project or reveal any additional details.

“As we’ve stated before, our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles,” the studio told Shacknews in a statement. “In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they’re publicly announced. We’re excited to confirm more information soon, probably via a LinkedIn update or something.

“We haven’t decided.”

In addition to games where you rock out with a plastic guitar, Harmonix is also known for the Dance Central series that uses Microsoft’s Kinect hands-free controller, as well as the music video creation app VidRythm for mobile devices.
