RoboCop: Rogue City redefines the future of gaming with its electrifying first-person shooter experience! This cinematic love letter to classic films channels the spirit of its protagonist, Alex Murphy. Packed with fan-pleasing nods and dishing-out delight, this FPS has over-the-top humor, all fueled by a standout original story. Rogue City exhibits its rough edges, forming a flawed hero, akin to a city in its grittiest days. Nonetheless, beneath these flaws lies an enjoyable adventure on the patrol beat. A 20-hour-long adventure awaits you all!

On November 2, 2023, the electrifying title made its gaming world debut, touching down on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. With this launch, it confronted a variety of mixed reviews from critics.

Let’s dig deeper into the RoboCop world right now!

Unleashing The Tale

Between RoboCop 2 and RoboCop 3, Alex Murphy’s cyborg alter ego becomes the focal point of an unrelenting power struggle. In the darkened alleys and graffiti-covered streets of Detroit, a mysterious figure’s presence cast a chilling hush over the city. Gang members and citizens alike whispered the name “The New Guy” with a mixture of fear and curiosity. Nobody knew his true identity or his sinister purpose, but one couldn’t ignore the chaos that followed in his wake.

Under Max Becker’s oppressive grip, the city’s police department, once a symbol of law and order, withered. Becker, OCP stooge, weakened the force, leaving RoboCop as the city’s final justice beacon amid anarchy’s shadow. But under Becker’s thumb, even the formidable RoboCop found himself ensnared, his capabilities and moral compass compromised by corporate interests.

More About Our “New Guy”

As The New Guy’s influence continued to grow, it became evident that his motivations extended beyond mere anarchy. A cunning strategist, he started forming alliances among Detroit’s top gangs, uniting them under a common banner of mayhem. Once rivals, the gangs now operated in eerie harmony, executing daring heists with chilling precision.

With the police department and RoboCop seemingly rendered powerless in the face of The New Guy’s reign of terror, the city’s fate hung in the balance. Detroit’s citizens, caught between the oppressive corporate interests of OCP and the anarchic rule of The New Guy, yearned for a hero, a symbol of hope, and a beacon of justice.

Battle lines drawn, Detroit’s destiny hinged on RoboCop’s fight against corporate control and The New Guy’s sinister agenda. A struggle for both the city’s soul and the essence of justice in a corporate-dominated world.

A 20-Hour Long Adventure!

In general, this FPS game expertly weaves together an immersive and continuous story full of unexpected narrative twists and exciting shocks. Despite the fact that the 20-hour journey occasionally outstays its welcome in the last act, which has several deceptive elements and erroneous conclusions, Rogue City exceeds its film equivalent, RoboCop 3. The return of Peter Weller as RoboCop, in this FPS provides a nice touch of nostalgia, and while the performances of the supporting characters vary in quality, the character models and animations convincingly portray RoboCop’s robotic nature.

We sure are excited about this, so here’s a small trailer below of RoboCop: Rogue City!

Satisfies The Dark Satire And Goofiness?

As RoboCop patrols Detroit, he tackles quirky side missions like solving sunscreen commercial murders and doing the “Robot Dance.” These tasks allow for some delightfully cheesy one-liners. This Rogue City FPS combines humor and action, embracing the original film’s satire and the sequels’ campy charm, resulting in a delightful tapestry of fun and nostalgia. It’s a unique blend of humor and action, making RoboCop’s adventures as entertaining as they are bizarre.

Detective To The Rescue

Beyond the heated battles, you dive into the world of detective work, a realm where you meticulously scan crime scenes for elusive clues, gather vital evidence, and skillfully interrogate suspects. The process is a well-oiled machine – simply scan highlighted objects until RoboCop and his allies unearth a critical breakthrough, offering fresh dialogue options for interrogations. These interludes serve as a welcome respite from the action, showcasing the multifaceted talents of the characters, revealing their ability to operate beyond the realm of violence.

Rogue City offers a nostalgic adventure, reminiscent of early 2010s shooters, with a RoboCop twist. It’s a gem for fans, but others may find it dated or buggy compared to modern titles. Nonetheless, as a heartfelt B-tier tribute to the iconic RoboCop, it’s a welcome return for Alex Murphy.
