There’s something undeniably fun about adding zombies to different time periods. If the Korean series Kingdom taught me anything it’s that an undead apocalypse doesn’t have to take place in the era of the shotgun. The developers of Remore: Infested Kingdom clearly agree with this.

The game enters early access this week, and anyone suffering Halloween withdrawals might enjoy the chance to plunge into another zombie-infested pit of dread as November rolls on.

A Different Apocalypse

Remore: Infested Kingdom is a top-down strategy RPG where you take charge of a group of survivors in a medieval Kingdom overrun by undead abominations that have killed nearly all whom they hold dear. Without some help, they’ll be next.

It’s up to you to organize the fightback against the monsters outside, and make use of any skills your pack of still-living individuals has. They won’t stay living very long without food and supplies. Sadly, getting those important items means delving into buildings infested with the walking dead, who hide in dark corners, waiting to be found.

Wait For This All To Blow Over

You can fight the horrible things that are trying to gnaw their faces off, but sometimes it’s better to work smarter than harder.

You can distract the monsters from their attempts to turn your squad into a late breakfast by throwing items and using environmental noise.

Barriers and other buildable items can be used to manipulate the dead’s path and set them up for a clean kill. Use your human smarts to outwit whatever they’ve got knocking around in their rotten domes.

You’ll need every advantage you can get if you want your team to live another day.

Sound right up your street? Remore: Infested Kingdom is available now for PC via Steam Early Access.
