The Re.Surs console release is here! Originally released on PC, the game is now available on a variety of platforms.
The Re.Surs console release day is here! If you’ve never heard of it before, it’s an action-packed side-scrolling shooter with nostalgic pixel art and flashy animations. Ride a motorbike as you dodge oncoming attacks, battle against creatures that look like a failed lab experiment, and blast your way through hordes of enemies.

Imagine a game that looks and plays like Dead Cells, features enemies right out of a sci-fi movie like Mass Effect, but has Resident Evil vibes – that is Re.Surs. Sounds ambitious right? But I mean it when I say that this game is the perfect combination of all three titles.
The side-scrolling gameplay doesn’t hinder Re.Surs at all, in fact, it makes the quick-fire action even better. There are multiple weapons to utilise against the oncoming hordes, allowing you to experiment while finding the best play style for you.
Plus, there are three characters to choose from: Detective Jessie, Helga Hoft, and Basil B. Each character wields unique abilities that can give you a pretty good advantage in battle depending on your chosen weapon.
The entire game feels like a nostalgia trip, but a slightly more polished one when compared to the old-school titles. Some of the bosses and enemies even remind me of the original Doom – with extra refinement, of course!
Without spoiling Re.Surs, I will say that there is an interesting overarching plotline. As you play through the side-scroller, you’ll uncover a wide range of dark secrets that will come to light during the demonic invasion.
