PopCap Games has announced that Zuma’s Revenge!, the sequel to the classic casual arcade game Zuma (which has sold 17 million copies since its 2003 debut) will launch next month for PC and Mac. The game will be available Sept. 15 at retail (PC only) and online via download (PC and Mac) at PopCap.com for $19.95.

In Zuma the player takes the role of a fearless ball-shooting frog, exploring ancient temples and ruins and firing colored spheres into an advancing chain of balls to make matches of three or more. The sequel introduces a new setting, the Polynesian paradise of Zhaka Mu, and ups the ante with nearly triple the screen resolution of the original game, 3-D particle effects, support for widescreen monitors, new power-ups, modes and level designs, and even boss battles.
