As a man with ears, I am aware of the incredible popularity Pokemon Go acquired and its strong fanbase that remains today. So its time to excite the masses by revealing the leaked plans for Pokémon GO’s upcoming update, that includes a new berry, a way to organise your friend list, and the introduction of lucky Pokémon.
A lucky Pokémon means that your favourite Pokémon requires 50% less Stardust to power-up. These lucky Pokémon will also have a custom background, a new animation, and camera effects. Aspects of lucky Pokemon have already made their way onto Android devices, meaning their introduction is imminent.
It’s not entirely clear how a Pokemon will become lucky. Our best guess is that it will happen randomly. But hey, who doesn’t love leaving life to chance!
What new berry?
The details about the Silver Pinap have been pretty scarce. It seems that this berry will increase the amount of Pokémon Candy that is earned from capture encounters. This is yet to be confirmed but, considering what the other berries are in the game, increasing candy yield makes the most sense.
What else!?
Well, there will be minor updates to the friend list, allowing for better management of giving and receiving gifts. Additionally, you can now give your friends nicknames and finally adjust how you sort your friend lists.
The update will also add two new quest types, as well as some minor bug fixes. Although the update isn’t live yet, keen fans have been digging through the source code to find out as much about the update as possible.
