As a fan of free things, this news is particularly exciting to me. Both the regular and HD versions of Plants vs. Zombies for iOS are currently available for the low cost of nothing. If you exclude that awesome Halloween promotion from last year, this is the first time the game has gone free.
For those who haven’t had the pleasure of playing it, Plants vs. Zombies is a strategy game that pits greenery against the undead. You, the player, are in control of the plants, and it’s your job to keep the approaching zombies from making it all the way across the playing field. It’s goofy, it’s fun, and it has all the personality you’d expect from a PopCap game.
If you’ve never played Plants vs. Zombies and the space on your iDevice permits it, I’d say it’s definitely worth your time to give it a download. And for those of you who have already dedicated a significant chunk of your lives to the (admittedly addictive) game, don’t forget that a sequel is supposed to arrive soon!
