Smilegate Megaport held a “battle of the caster” event for its mobile RPG Epic Seven last week – and as the headline of this very article suggests, it was a riproaring success.

The event, named Orbis Caster Clash, saw 110 people applying to compete with each other – by casting the Epic Seven battle with few twists and challenges.

Only six were selected for the final reckoning though – DivineFaker, ProfBoi, Lucent Azure, Tsuzumiya, Valky, and Fartpancakes –  with then two of those chosen as the winning ‘casters.’

Their efforts in the game were judged by Jon “Fallout” Kefaloukos, Alan “IHOLDSHIFT” Donofrio, and Mashuu (CM of Epic Seven). You can see them in that middle image below these words.

The viewer poll also played a part in who won through, with the show produced by Estars Studios and sponsored by the Amazon Appstore. On Twitch the competition attracted over 200,000 views, with around 10,000 people watching at one point.

At the end of the five challenges Divinefaker and Valky were announced as the winners. Congrats to both. They’ll both be casting two community-based Epic Seven Tournaments – namely Commander’s Cup (29th of April) and Conqueror’s Cup (3rd of June). More details can be found here.

You can keep informed on similar events happening by downloading the game itself via the Amazon Appstore, App Store and Google Play. It offers up a rather intoxicating mix of eyecatching visuals and engrossing turn-based-battles, and it’s free to download. So what are you waiting for?
